It's clear that the room needs someone with some sort of moderation power at most times, however it is becoming a bit of a mod party. I'm restructuring the mod system. There will be 3 tiers.
Janitors:
Has powers over the playlist. Content controllers.
Addrandom, Clean, Delete, Setskip, Shuffle, Purge, Lock, Unlock, Poll, EndPoll, Skip, Duplicates.
Hybrid mods:
Has powers over the playlist and users. Anti-spam brigade.
Has all Janitor powers, plus Unregspamban, Kick, Steal, Mod, Ban, Unban, Banlist.
Rednames:
What it says on the tin.
Most current mods will become either hybrids or janitors. Those becoming Hybrids aren't losing any powers that they either don't need or shouldn't use. I'll also be looking for a few more users to become janitors.
If you are currently a mod and get "demoted" to janitor, then please don't take it personally. How I choose who becomes what will be largely arbitrary. I may even roll a die.
This system will constantly be under review. Powers may be granted and removed as deemed appropriate. I'd appreciate it if all mods and any users that have an opinion on the matter let me know next Sunday. Please wait for a week before making any comment, unless something happens that shows the system to be seriously broken, so any changes made are well informed.
